RTTA, which stands for Real Time Tuning Analysis, is a method that revolutionizes instrument tuning and intonation analysis. Traditional instrument tuners assess the tuning of a single note, providing a limited view, particularly for instruments with variable pitch like the flute. What sets RTTA apart is its ability to analyze the intonation of every note within a musical piece or scale, allowing for a more comprehensive assessment of performance accuracy.

Now, iPhone users can access the RTTA technique through the newly introduced RTTATuner app. By simply pressing record and playing music or scales, users can view real-time tuning data displayed on a graph. The app offers options for various musical temperaments, custom temperaments, pitch standards, temperament transitions, display settings, and note filtering. It serves as a valuable tool for evaluating performance intonation and testing different instrument intonations.
